Hi, sorry I didn't see your reply from yesterday. I take it that you have your important stuff backed up somewhere safely? ![]() That will delete all your apps, but not your personal data. You can as a last (well, second to last) resort do a Refresh on Windows 10 which (if/when you do it) you can opt to 'Keep personal files only'. I would also advise that you look into why you were unable to revert back in time using System Restore due to you missing the mshtml.dll library file on D:\ Once you have removed AVG completely (hopefully after you remove it and reboot) then try to create a new restore point. txt file for you here should you want to take a look. If you no longer use AVG (I stopped using them back in 2008 for multiple reasons, like bloat and other crap) then there are still files left over which the removal tool should clean up. (the have a dedicated removal tool) Bleeping Computer have it. I would personally completely uninstall AVG. ![]() From what I can see, the issue seems to be referencing AVG (anti-virus) as being the issue.
